Man is this palm THAT touchy?

It's in almost total shade except for an hour or so in the morning, when it's in diffused sun.
Should I cut those leaves off? Barb

Barb

The same thing happen to my two spindle and king palm. I just left them on and they are still living almost a year later. They both got burned again this year. I don't have the means to slowly introduce them to the sun. They get a little burnt, but are thriving none the less.

Not the pot I was expecting........

It's frustrating that after a winter of poor light, they finally get an hour or so...
and POOF, sunburn.
Thanks, cali, glad it doesn't affect them too badly.

Yes it is frustrating. I had my King Palm in a southern exposed window this winter where it got 6-8 hours of direct sunlight a day. I set it out on a section of my deck that gets 3-4 hours of sun and POOF. IMO, any foliage that was put on the plant during the winter months will burn, period.

Cali, that's a plausible theory...makes sense.
