I don't remember which was a topic we were discussing the Donov's palms surviving this winter. Anyway here is a picture (

I don't know how you did that, Aaron, but I have more links to the guy's pics.
By the way, there was minus 23.6 C at that north-western part of Bulgaria on the February 9th.
CIDP with no active or passive protection at all - just snow cover:

Would have thought those results were impossible, even with snow as insulation.

Considering those temps, all of the palms seem to be in pretty good condition!

Igor it is incredible these palms survived. More and more people will start growing palms with a little protection because of what they see is possible. Thank you for sharing these photos! 8)

Tim, yes, they seems to be OK, but those palms are not mine! They grow in Bulgaria that is 4 000 km west of my town.... The guy posted pictures of his palms on one Ukrainian forum. I'm just sharing with you 'cos you are not able reading the Russian. 😳

great pics!! i have 2 t.bulgaria small seedlings. it will be planted this year outdoor. we'll see are they cold hardy as it says in internet. this is one of 2 bulgaria tracy palm
