Cactus ID?

This cactus does is not affected by winter moisture. Can anyone identify this specimen located in Victoria, BC?


There should be more palms at English Bay.

It could be Opuntia basilaris( beavertail cactus).

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

I think it is probably Opuntia phaeacantha. It grows equally well here in zone 4b/5a!
Allen, if you want to try a few pads in Edmonton, let me know this spring!
