The makings of a Southwestern garden
I decided a few weeks ago that I want to make a Southwestern style garden. I started collecting specimans for the garden a few weeks back I can wait until the weather gets good enough to plant this stuff.

Perfect!
Their blue will go nicely with your desert collection.
Picked out the color of your landscape gravel?

I actually have. I got some stone work done last year the main colour is gray with a strip of black I'm thinking about trying to replicate that in gravel. But if I chicken out I'll go straight gray matches the house etc.lucky1 wrote:Picked out the color of your landscape gravel?
Here is a shot of the path down the side of the house. Each stair was 480lbs and one guy set them all in place by hand. All I can say is I'm not built for physical labour.

Good sheltered dry area for succulents.
The strip is a nice feature.

Nice plants! You can get a good idea of winter protection from the tent/polytunnel that Jim in Iowa keeps over his cacti during the winter.
