This isn't good. Another forest fire

Post by Jay-Admin » Sat Jul 18, 2009 6:29 pm

There's a forest fire in West Kelowna right now.

I hope this isn't like the last big fire we had. So far three homes have been destroyed
by the fire.

Scary stuff. I hope everyone gets out and will be ok.

Here's some pics.

I've been through that before. I pray they all make it out alive. :angel5:

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

I watched later tonight first hand accross from the east side of the lake where the fire was in 2003 and can tell you this is a major fire disaster again. Winds were clocked at over 40 mph 70 km gusting to 50 mph 80 km. I just listened to the news there are now three fires burning near West Kelowna on the west side of the Valley. Please say a prayer for our firefighters these guys put their lives on the line.

Thanks Aaron. It's a smaller bush fire that they are attacking quickly. I'm still up over the hill where the fire is
so hopefully it won't make it here. I hope John is not too close to it.

The air attack has just been called off. :D Looks like they have it under control.
Now if they can get the other two big ones under control.
