Doesn't that beat all for environmental stupidity.

My mulch consists of lilac, plum, rose and hedge trimmings as well as malva, hollyhock stocks leaves etc. Occasionally I buy ground up christmas trees from the city. I buy all of my compost from the city. It is a little more expensive than the bagged stuff but I know what is in it.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps
