I've had a random thought for a long long time, and perhaps it has been discussed here before...but theoretically, if you could wrap heat cable around palm roots and protect with a large enough temporary greenhouse in winter, could you grow more tender palms in cooler climates?? (coconuts, adonidia, etc...)...this thought has bothered me enough that I have been tempted to try it...any thoughts??
Maybe i'm just crazy.
Random thought...

It's been done. I use thermocube actuated light bulbs in a insulated box, though. Cable can fry a palm. Can.
