10 oF or -12 oC here in Tulsa at a mere 36 oN latitude, where all palms were in pots indoors.
14 oF or -10 oC up at 46 oN on the Oregon coast. Gulp. That's not bad for unprotected zone 9 palms, is it?

I can't find the downtown data here, but Pearson has hit -18C so far. Kingston tells me that it hit -28C, but the data is coming from Watertown, NY, which is colder... Hmmm... Where has the Canadian weather data gone?

Just -3.5C here :D One bonus for me is that my new neighbours 30ft Conifers have been chopped as has virtually everything else giving me some extra sunlight in my rather darkened Winter garden. A stormy day is forecast for Christmas day and cold weather has been put back from mid to end of January :?

Barb, it has always pissed me off how American weather maps stop at the border as if no other lands exist outside of the USA, part of the problem here....You'll be warmer too though as says the model i saw. xoxoxoxo
Mike

our low for the next two nights is + 14 C

PS warmer than average January temps

Thanks, Michael, for confirming we'll be warmer too despite not being on the map.

Plus 14...wow.
Bet that's closer to March temps for you folks.

Just thought of something strange...I worry more about weather now as a palm tree nut than when we had an apple orchard.

Enjoy the warmth, buddy.

It's crazy how that happened too. The higher elevations (ie Mt. Washignton ) were warmer in 40s to 60's and the cold Arctic air found its way down into the valleys and froze everyhting...Nuts!
