Nice video. Do you mulch the Arbutus? Have your L. barbarum been producing fruit?

Thank you. We put about two inches of mulch around the Arbutus last fall. And no goji berries yet, although the goji plants are flowering now!

Really nice yard Adam. Its going to look totally different when those trees really take off, since a lot looks young.

That was a giant fig too. Does it die back much in the winter?

Some nice bananas as well. You ever try M Itenerans? Supposedly slightly less hardy then the basjoo, but can double the height. They have some long runners not unlike bamboo which can spread plants up to 10 feet away, when its happy.

You got some good luck with bamboo as well. THats a monster Phyllo from a small rhizome. I get slower growth up here from my alata (the first 3 years at least, minus a year that I protected them badly). It shoots in June, despite the weather and heat so far. You would probably do well with some Sasa species and ground cover species?
