If nothing works, just put some dirt from outside in a pot and place in the south window, wet the soil, barely push the seeds into the soil, keep the soil wet/moist and you should get something soon. Brevifolia seeds are the easiest yuccas seeds I have ever sprouted, and I've grown lots of them. I m...

Aaron, any update on your echinocactus? I just recieved a 5 headed clump and can't wait to plant it. All I have read it is pretty hardy if kept dry? Nice! Hardy if kept very dry. Mine is doing just fine, covered in the winter, on a mound and in a good gravel mix. You might need to watch for summer ...

AZ Snow!
Arizona received snow in places that have not seen it in years! As so did my place, neighbors said about 1-1/2 inches.

Is that a needle in Alamo? I don't now for sure what kind of palm it is, I just now it's the only palm that i have seen there. This town is right on a zone 8, down the road(20 miles or so) it's much warmer and a row of W. robustas grow without problems. PS I was hoping someone here could tell me wh...

I was just looking at palms in Alamogordo, NM. Weather Underground says they got down to -13 in 2011. I'm really surprised there are any still alive there. I like seeing palms in colder areas too. I do too, it really is amazing that these palms came back so well from places like Alamogordo NM, I lo...

. And it's about time for another trip to your retirement property. 12 years...then you'll have endless project hours and days. Barb I just got back a couple of months ago, had a bunch of fun! Yep! Lots of time for projects, but I think I will be working on few places down south. Fix-up a few homes...

Wow, Aaron, you've done so much to transform your place. Incredible beauty, love the paths and rock berms. Silver/blue plants look so beautiful with rocks. Good idea to prune those trees so they show more of the landscape. Your daughter is growing up fast, lovely girl. Now go get her that saguaro. ...

Awesome collection of cold hardy plants. How long did it take your Echinocereus to clump to that size? Thanks you. :D The Echinocereus clump fairly fast for me, about five years or so. When they start getting big here they get mealy bugs over the winter and start to die. It's too bad because I woul...
