Nice find Bryce. What type is that? Cool how it can hold on in that position.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Great pic, Bryce. There's a disjunct population of Gray treefrogs in the neighbouring province (New Brunswick). They come in a wide range of colours, not just grey! 😆

Haha Jim. Cameron thats cool, yeah the name Grey treefrog is kina misleading while some are grey others are more green or browinish looking, they look like they are covered in lichen and they blend in well with tree bark. We do have Green Tree Frogs Hyla cinerea here, there range extends up into southern Illinois, but I have not seen any in my yard there must be too many Grey Tree frogs here or something.
Bryce G.
Bryce, I used to keep Green treefrogs, and I was always amazed that their range went into southern Illinois. I bet there would be a significant difference in cold tolerance than those from southern Florida (almost like comparing palm sources 😆 ). I've also heard that they've been introduced to Vancouver Island.

Probably I bet most the Green Tree Frogs in the pet trade come from Florida. They are neat frogs they look pretty tropical. I know with reptiles and amphibians there are a lot of variation in cold tolerance. Sometimes winters here can be very cold, sometimes like this year can be really mild.
