Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Aaron,
That would've been a treat!
I love to travel old roads just to see where they go.

Sad to see formerly vibrant little towns become ghost towns.
Same thing used to happen 100 years ago when it was decided where the railways would be.
But at least the interstate freeways make it easy to move supplies to areas.

That's quite a big river...just think what could be grown in summer, if irrigation pumps could irrigate adjacent fields.
But I guess farmers just gave up, as many do everywhere for various reasons.

Those buildings look so old, lack of business shows...nobody on the streets.
5 bucks for a pee...probably the only business they had all day.

Sad too about what the fires have done to the hills.

Thanks for this Aaron.

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.

So right you are, that river irrigates many thousands of acres. Some places in the canyons have huge irrigation pumps that pump the water over the canyon walls. The area I was in was mostly cattle country. Public lands. 😉
