They have a very interesting climate. My nieghbors had a low of 18F/-7.7C last year and the year before they had 12F/-11.1C. But yet they grow aloes, saguaros, w. robutas, w. filiferas, dactylifera palms etc. What blows my mind is that 30/40 miles away in the town of Bisbee there are 2 palms that have seen -9F/-22.7 in 1987. They are 85 years old and look like the have never seen cold before. 😕

The palms are filiferas, but they grow just about any yucca and agave you can think of. Of cource that -8F was a very rare thing but....

Well... we broke another record. Old record 3F/-16.1C had -2F/-19.4C here. I can already see heavy burn on all of my yuccas. Normaly I don't see burn untill late winter early spring. We will see what makes it to spring, if anything lives that long.

Between work and weather I could not cover all that I wanted to. 😐

These temps you guys on the west coast are seeing are AWFUL!!! I hope these ridiculous temps don't seriously hurt your plants 😥

And last winter (when it was El Nino, vs. la Nina this year) friends told us Mexico was unseasonably cold.
