Started today. Had a teeshirt on in six degree weather. It helps that our soil never froze this winter for more than than two days.
I transplanted rapini:

Rapini closeup grew outside through the winter:

What about your veggie garden plans?

Adam, I was a week away. Then we got this clipper pass through, and dump a foot of snow.

Grafting season is a week or 2 away. As soon as the ground thaws ( a few weeks now), I can plant some spinach, radish and what not. I also have some tree seedlings that can be planted while still a bit dormant.

I have a lot of stuff to do. Im removing the deck, in order to get a firepit, and a litle bit more growing space. I already have a few things sprouted like celary, brocoli and a few other things waiting to go outside.

The veggies season here varies from middle of march, to middle of april, depending on the year.

Still have 50 plus centimeters of snow on a ground. A couple of thousand tomato seedlings which my Mom care about. Another week before we could start the season inside of GH.

Amazing Mom!

Adam, if I had soil that even remotely resembled yours I'd be aching to get started too.

Here we grow shale (yes shale, not kale) over the winter, so we have to remove it before we can start planting.
Wait until I find the person who plants that shale every Fall!!!!! :protest:
