John ... it's always a true indictator of spring when the interior temps surpass the coastal readings. Soon you guy's will be in the 30's celcius and will have left us in the dust. 😆

Cheers, Barrie.

Allen, ha ha

and the garbage and dog shit from last winter

I hear ya...we had PYRAMIDS of it once the snow melted...a whole wheelbarrow full. JEEZ.

I managed to get a suntan already from being outdoors a lot this week...or maybe it's a windburn.

Come on warm weather...I want to plant some palms and rostrata!!!! 🙂

The yard is still an eyesore. The ground never got dry enough to walk on. And after the 6"+ of snow last night it will be a few more days before I can get the yard cleaned up.

Allen

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

Oh man, 6 inches of snow???? 😥

It's been miserable and cold here for nearly a week.

But by Friday we're supposed to be up to 21 C...

I'll be able to take the longjohns off 😆

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

I don`t think snow is a factor here anymore fingers crossed. I`m just watching temps hovering around 1c 33f overnight . My smaller 3 gal. potted palms should be able to handle -3c 30f without having to haul them back in the garage. We are looking at 24c 76f by Tuesday.

The snow is pretty much gone except in the shaded areas. The temperature is forecast to reach 13*C tomorrow which should pretty much get rid of the last of the snow.

Jay; if you are driving be cautious of the "sand" left over from last winter. It is about 1/16" in diameter and acts like marbles when thinly spread. The first few times that you gently press the brakes and have the ABS cut in is a surprise. In almost all places it has been pushed against the curbs. Side street intersections can be bad.

Thanks Allen. I'll take it easy on the streets.

Do you know if there are any nascar memorabilia stores in Edmonton?

You will need to take it easy. We are the worst drivers in Canada. (We have to be proud of something, the Oilers suck).

I don't know of any. I'll do some checking for you.

Jay;

I found 'All About The Fans' who specialize in Nascar. They are at 7321-101 Ave 780-462-4320. That is in the Capilano area. They have a web site www.allaboutthefans.ca When I checked it was temporarely closed.

If you like I can PM the yellow pages collectibles section to you.

Thanks Allen. I'll check it out. That's close to my Grandparents house.
