Last gasp of winter. We got 4" in. of snow and -7c 20f overnight. Snow all over B.C. a huge mess in Vancouver and the lower mainland. The praries are extremely cold -20c -3 f for highs during the day. Enough of this cold and snow s%!*. Bring on spring!!!!!!!!!!

I hear you John. I'm sick of this cold. Spring can come anytime now.
Agreed. Yesterday wasn't too bad here, 6c and sunny. But today is AWFUL 9c and RAIN, yuck! If you know me, you know that my least favorite weather is between 0 and 10 with rain...
However, after a long freeze I would rather that we stayed above freezing, but, they say we've now got 3-5 days of COLD again before it warms up. I think I'll start gardening as soon as the frost is gone.
Amen to that, John. The windchill was horrible.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps
John ... There was very little snow in much of metro Vancouver and southward through Richmond / South Delta. Pretty much all that did fall is gone or will be by the end of today. The Valley communites of Abbotsford and Chilliwack bared the brunt of the weather again.
We picked up 3" of wet snow and some places just south of here in Nanaimo, had between 8" and a foot of snow. The south Island didn't get any snow. Port Alberni had about an inch and I don't know if any fell in Tofino (quite rare there).
Rain and 12°C (54°F) for the weekend. I'll just hang out in my greenhouse 😀
Cheers, Barrie.
We had a pretty good February where in the whole month we saw nothing more than 7 cm of snow but we saw over 45 mm of rain which is rare.
It's very cold here! That warm up on Friday went from 7'C to -17'C on Saturday Morning and all the water is hard as rock.
Next Friday to Monday with a range of 3'C TO 7'C with sun and showers, Not too bad.
I heard Alabama is getting some snow and ice but it will warm up back in the low 20's in no time.
Oh yes, please, John!
finally warmed up enough yesterday and snow was melting.
But sun always is covered by thin clouds.
Seldom a truly sunny bright day which would melt everything faster.
My property looks like a glacier.
Two inches of ice UNDERNEATH a foot of snow.
I'd love a day of rain, Paul.
turtile, sorry to hear about your Butia. Stone dead? 🙁

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
It has been a while since we got snow, -15*C and winds of 30+ K.
My wife was still thinking of yesterday's 6*C, sunny day when she opened the door just before sunrise this morning.
I held the door closed to keep her from coming back in. 😆
Then watched from the window as she waded through knee high drifts in her runners.
(Actually she was going to miss the bus if she changed into her winter boots.)

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Aaron is that a pic from today? Most of my snow is gone except for the piles left that I shoveled endlessly in Dec. Yesterday out in a t shirt washing the truck sunny and 10c 50f. Shorts and flip flops just around the corner.

Here are pics from today. I shoveled out the sidewalks and the drifts are gone.
The Palm shelter is below the bedroom window
The yuccas in the 'desert' are buried under 2' of snow. I haven't seen them in a couple of months.
With the cold weather we are forecast to have, the snow may take until mid April to completely melt.
