Believe it or not, rarely does the humidity become a factor during a hot spell here on the coast. Generally it is quite comfortable although not in the <10% humidity of the interior regions. Back east ... now that's gruelling when the heat is on and the humidity is in excess of 75%. Today you'd never guess that in 48 hours the temps will accelerate from our current 54f (12c) to over 80f (28c).

I heard that the high pressure will stay in your area for some time and it could break down when it gets to our area 🙁 so our forecast is nasty and cold with
overnight frost.

30C and 40C does not feel bad in the arid and desert areas but the sun is strong. When we had 40C before (rare) it was painful and you sweat with 50C
humidity.

It's been damp here lately and if we do get that high pressure, we will be hit with 30C temperatures and 45C humidity. It's nice when in a desert.
This causes severe out break of thunderstorms and I can't remember how many times we been hit with large baseball sized hail and damaging winds.

Temperatures around 26C had 42C humidity here.

Much cooler here Barb. My best guess would be somewhere around the 20c mark at least where I was all afternoon, on the edge of the Ocean (22.7c / 72.9f at home). The cool breezes stopped blowing by late afternoon and it was a pleasant evening. Something tells me we won't see anywhere near the temps they had been calling for earlier. It's supposed to be raining and cool again by Sunday so I guess it won't matter much anyway.

Canadian hotspot Lytton B.C. yesterday 34.7c 95f. My house 31.5c 89f . More of the same for today. We are still a month away from the official start of summer.

Here in Edmonton we've seen 27, 26, and 28 so far today but many areas of the city are over 30 today and were the last two days. Supposed to be a low of 20c tonight so it should be a very very nice patio temperature. Dropping to low teens beginning of week and rain for 3 days though. Gotta love Edmonton's variable climate.

Well I am surprized that we did break the 30c barrier today. I recorded 88.6f (31.2c).

Arctic Palm ... not to worry. In my estimation you'll be in the heat in no time flat. Is "Arctic Palm" really in the Arctic? If so, I may have to retract that statement 😆
