Yet in BC (or BS as Jesse calls it 😆 ), we've hoped that any "benefits" would be warmer winters for us as palm-growers.
This certainly was that kind of winter for folks in the eastern half of North America.Mostly we've seen hotter summers, which the Okanagan valley doesn't need.
Most noticeable to me over the last 4 or 5 years is that we seem to have 3 SEASONS now.
Spring got dropped. 😥Barb
I think last year they said we had the second coldest summer on record, for southern Idaho. Might of been the year before? 😕
And seem like too me we have warmer falls, but colder springs. 😕

Yea Paul,the last three winters before this one were pretty brutal.
I have never seen it this warm in March after a mild winter,usually
you get the cold you didn't get in winter March/April or May.
This will be fun to observe and see what happens.............
I am leaning toward a very hot summer right in the middle of the country,
right where the warmth is now,either that or we don't have a summer....
notice normal is not an option 😆
