These were taken around 8:30 this morning, after some of the overnight snow had melted! It's now a cold rain again at my place. Like I always say, I'm going to need a new climate for my hobby! 😆
My Trachy, Rostrata and Needle seem to be enjoying the chill!
Now two nights of -2 Celsius frosts to come. What the....?

Wow. I saw that on the news... I thought maybe Canmore or Edmonton would get June snow, but not Calgary.
Sorry.
At least it's a good story, and you got some snow pics from June!
Hi Paul,
More of dusting in Calgary really-but still, it's June! Ouch.

I really have to give you guys credit for dealing with what is arguably one the the coldest climates of our country. I just watched the weathernetwork and 30 cm of snow fell in southern Alberta and Saskatchewan border. I thought snow in May was a joke but now June what the F#@&. Well at least you don`t have to deal with the scorching heat and forest fires we are dealing with in British Columbia.

Hi John,
Thanks, I hear ya-and, yes, WTF!!!? Calgary is a frustrating and fascinating weather beast. You're hard pressed to find comparable cold in the populated world-Moscow and Helsinki are close. Only Winnipeg, Edmonton and Saskatchewan's cities are colder in terms on average yearly temps. The weird part about Calgary is the sporadic, yet consistent winter warmth. Would you believe that Calgary's highest monthly temps. from Oct. 08-Feb. 09 are higher than Vancouver and Kelowna every single month? It's true. Calgary always sees close to, or above, 60f every month of the winter. In terms of practical benefit to garderners though, there is none. The erratic weather shifts are very hard on plants that get fooled into thinking spring has come, only to be hit by another arctic front. The more I travel this world, I realize that there are far more climates conducive to growing palms, than not. So what the heck am I doing here?!
Anyway, I'll take your heat anyday! I'm sure your palms are loving it! Get some pictures up when you have time-I always enjoy seeing your plants!
