Looks like we're locking into a summer pattern. 90 yesterday, low of 75 last night and going back to 88 today. Cools down to the upper 70s for a few days then back to 90 on Friday. WooHoo!

Tim, Jesse, and Erik, congrats on the "proper weather".
We are finally going into a warm spring...only 6 weeks late 🙄
"Isolated severe thunderstorms" for us today, we don't often get that.
Just a few thunderbangers/lightning each summer normally.
But I have a feeling this year's going to remain "abnormal".
I may have mentioned earlier that Vancouver (300 miles away) has had its coldest spring in 50+ years.
But we have to realize we should count our blessings to have been missed by tornados, EQs, tsunamis, nuclear near-meltdowns etc.
I could kiss the ground I live on...
But I don't want to freeze my lips 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

Even though they have had cold, a major drought, and the hills are on fire....YIPPEEEEEE!

PS. I hope to find all the palms I have posted pics of before and post new pics to see how they all did after the big chill. 😀

Yea...thats what I heard from my nieghbors down there. All the Opuntia ficus-indica are laying down to the ground. 😡

I have seen a few pics from Tucson and Sierra Vista that have O. ficus regrowing from the trunks. 😀

I just can't imagine that.....Low last night was 78 and high for the past few days was in the mid 90's UGH! 🙄

While the east coast has been in a major heat wave, here in the northwest we have been too darn cold. I had frost again last night. 😡 While this has happend in the past, it is not the norm. 😕
I might die in the AZ heat after highs in the 50's 60's for Idaho, they are near record temps in SE Arizona. :violent3:

Farmers in OK and Texas would agree.
Western OK has had almost no rain since September. This "dust bowl" event is much worse than the one in the 1930s that John Steinbeck made famous in his novel.
Here, lows are in the 70s as we have had enough rain to get humidity up; highs are near 100 F daily with "heat index" values >100 F daily. and it is still, technically, "Spring"!
Yes sir, making me think "Yucca" vs. "palm" (let alone "Musa").
