40's this weekend.
I got home from work & had sprinkles w/ 56 degrees in the greenhouse. So I put the windows in and shut the door (usually have two windows open and front door open) and with in 7 minutes was already back up to 60 degrees.
Watch your stuff this weekend w/ 40's!!!!!!!!!

We had a bit of a chill this past weekend. The temperature got down as low as 3 C/37F. The only damage that we sustained was to one of my bananas and the tomatoes as a result of pea sized hail.

The forecast for Edmonton records frost for this coming weekend.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

I will probably kick my own a$$ for saying this cause now it will happen, but hail is the one thing we have not had this year. Not even pea size. I remember about 4 years ago the hail absolutely tore up my cycads 😥
If you are like me, after a storm, I take inventory and usually lose a thing or two but feel lucky. Sunday I think it was, we got 65 PH winds that blew out two panels in the GH and then blew over a shelf with a lot of Filifera, 2 Butia, 2 Copernica Alba, 1 Spindle, Pineapple tree, & bunch of seeds I had laid out for KNNN (don't worry KNNN, I got them all picked up) and it blew them all over the yard. So far, I have only lost one of the Butia due to the stress. So yea, I felt "lucky" after that.
