Cold Weekend for Okanagan

Environment Canada is forecasting a steady improvement over the remainder of the week. Thursday is the only fly in the ointment with 40% showers forecast. Temps in the upper teens (celcius) mid to upper 60's fahrenheit for Saturday 8). Now if I could only have a guarantee. There should be an similar pattern that will extend eastward into the interior of BC too.

30 to 50+ cm that the west got made me think back in March 2008 when we had close to 100 cm of snow in 2 days during a MASSIVE blizzard!!!

The snow is history now since 6 days of 20 to 27C weather that got a hold of it. We had our problems because of flooding and using sandbags to
stop it coming to the houses. I feel bad about you all in the west with close to -20C weather with record snow. Our latest snow was early May.

We could see some severe thunderstorms for Saturday that will make flooding worse. Things had been bad here too.

Forecasts look like that cold air mass will be heading eastward trimming the mild temps there. Here, I never recorded a below freezing temp during the Yukon express and daytime temps where below normal, mostly in the 7c to 13c range.
Alberta and Sasketchwan was and continues to be, another story. Must be where the -20c temps where recorded.
