Yes Barb, the landscaping at this Hotel is amazing, lots of Agave giving a color touch. The sprinklers turned on every morning to keep the grass green. Thats the only place they have grass in Cabo, at the Resorts and Golf course 😆 .
More pics...

We hit -18C! Coldest in a few years here. We'll see if the winter has anything else in store for us.

-18C is a good test for many plants. I hope all is well. 8)

I won't be removing any protection yet.........forecasts change fast. A nice dump of snow is coming our way.

The snow amounts on the map are in inches not cm. I was in the 10-14 inch (25-35cm) area...now 18"-24". Troy is in the 18-24 inch (45-61cm) area. 😆

You can all hate me, but freaky warm here and the forecast is for rain, not snow! Many potted plants back outside.

Ugh, Tim...but you haven't had much snow yet, so maybe it's the last hurrah. 😀

Spread your nice weather around please Erik.
Oregon isn't really that much colder than you. 😆

Wow, Beny, what are those blue ones in your last pic? anybody know the ID?
Presume their teeth say Agave?
Fabulous color. :thumbleft:

We'll see what happens..........it seems kinda early to be predicting snowfall amounts.............most likely it will change.

We are a little behind regarding 'average' snowfall. We stand at 18.0 inches (45.7 cm) the 'normal' amount for today would be 21.1 inches (53.6 cm) so this storm will push us ahead of 'normal'.........if it comes. 😕

Barb,
Its a Agave, the one they make Tequila with...they planted a lot at this hotel, and we saw many along the principal highway from San jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Very nice place to live, mexican people are so nice.

Stunning plant, even if nothing could be made from it. 😆

Mike and Tim...stay safe.
Hopefully it's winter's last hurrah.
Looks like Cameron in Halifax will get the worst of it.

Quick pics after almost a foot of snow

Looking out our front Window, to across the street. Our boys making a snow fort

Then left to right, Prunus laurocerasus, Phyllostachys bambusoides (6ft tall) and can you see the 30 one foot tall loquats to its' right? Oh yeah under a foot of snow!

Not too bad compared to East Coast.

Don't tell your boys the snow fort will be gone on Monday with the rain. 😆
The loquats are snug and warm.

Here's a cute shot:

Hope Tim is doing well up on Boston. We lucked out and got about 2 inches but it has mostly all melted with 35 F and a very sunny day. Just a few snowy clumps left here and there. Clear enough to hot tub tonight inhe 16F winds! Woop! 8)
