Since thursday when the rains began we got 9.5" or 240mm of rain. This is more than half our average annual rainfall in less than a week. Hopefully nothing has drowned. Some of my palm seedling have been sitting in several inches of water that is slowly soaking in.

The TV feature reported that summer fires have removed brush which would normally soften the impact of rain on the hills, so mudslides are a threat.
And the Midwest last week with people stranded in their cars/trucks on the highway.
And Europe...wow.
Kinda like last year without the REAL cold.
