Man, this year has been anal! ALmost 6 months of record temps, and JUST when things are really waking up, I get this:

Thats right, 17C saturday with a low of 5C, and monday a high of 0c, and 3 nights of around -7C.

Oh, its only.... 3 degrees C below normal for the low. Not bad at all, but since its been so mild, and/or right on average, things are a bit ahead of schedual. My russian olive bud burst yesterday, and my apple is not far behind (the native/naturalized stuff is fine).

That looks bad, but I think it will us here. Next 10 days highs in the 60's-70's just perfect. 😀

Glad the mess is missing you Aaron.
But I've not seen it "sweep" so low in a long time.
Even N.CA had cold winds and rain last week from this thing hanging around.

The weather man LIED. IT was supposed to snow last night, turns out we had 5 HOURS OF FREEZING RAIN/ICE PELLETS! Things that bust buds, 4 clematis, raspberry, black berry, russian olive are frozen. The apple is covered, the bamboos were covered, ALL of my seedlings outside were iced over.........
On top of that.... -12 C tonight............................

Its cold, but not 22F. We got almost 30mm of rain, it changed to freezing rain, then to ice pelets, then to mix, then to snow, then it stopped... There are non frozen puddles everywhere, and stuff is slowly melting. Its around 0C (yeah cold)...
Nothing was covered... and its gonna be -12C tonight....
