Just back from a trip to the tropics, and I was looking over the weather while I was away. Keep in mind that the coldest temperature recorded for ~5 years was recorded before I left (-28C).
Since I left we have recorded 4 days with minimum temps below -20C, one of which was -30.3C! Now that's some serious cold!
What did everyone else hit?
Ok, because I am a nerd I looked up some lows across the east (So far):
Montreal: -28C
Ottawa: -29.7C
Kingston: -30.3C
Trenton: -31C
Windsor: -17.5C
Thunder Bay: -37.3C
Toronto (Pearson): -21.2C
Toronto (Island): -17.3C
Vineland: -20C
Winnipeg (ok, not really east): -35.3C
-19.3C -2.7F Nov 23/10.

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
Tulsa has had a low of -6 oF (-21 oC) while you were gone, which is pretty darn chilly for 35oN latitude.
My lowest this winter has been -16.8 C (2 F)

Nice. Wish I lived as far south as you 😕 😕 😕 😕

I saw Vineland and Trenton on your list and I laughed: we have a Vineland and Trenton here in NJ. Don;t think it got that cold here though.

The airport got hit with -37C. My yard was only -32C ( thank you lake supirior). Ive asked a few other people to check the temps that day too. The people around my area all had generaly the same temps as me ( mines on a north wall).
My aunt ( who is further inland then even the airport, about half hour drive from my house) was -40C.

"only -32C" Very few people can say that.
We're losing our benefit from the lake down here. As soon as it freezes it becomes more of a liability than a help!
I think St. john's wins, so far their low has been in the -12C range!
Anyone in the praries can say that LOL. Dispite the weather data, we dont get that cold very often here. Mabey 4 or 5 days out of the whole winter ( concidering less then 10 years ago, -30C was very common during the winter here)
The bay, the city is on used to freeze over every single winter, from november to march or april. Now it freezes every couple winters, from december to march. The lake itself doesnt freeze, so we still get some of the moderating effects. I didnt know lake ontario freezed that much??

I lied. Sable Island wins (as usual)... Low to date is -9C (15.8f).

The coldest temperatures here was oddly enough in November at -2C. December we saw -1C and February OC. Hopefully we are done with the frost as everything is starting to grow.
