I also ordered a yucca elata from there, but I found out that if you can find a nursery that buys from Monrovia, they might be able to order yucca elatas in a larger size. I'm waiting on a 1 gallon y. elata right now.

I was going to recommend www.coldhardycactus.com as well. The owner Kelly is super knowledgeable and great to talk to. I recently was able to see his greenhouse while in the Denver area at Timberline Gardens (www.timberlinegardens.com); he has a lot of stock and the plants are in great shape. Prices are excellent as well.

I gave up on trying to grow yucca from seed. They just dont grow fast enough and I always end up killing them. So now Im looking where to buy some Y glauca, filamentosa or any of the other hardy yucca.

Filamentosa are super common here in the nurseries. I managed to grab a Glauca there last year as well. If you need something in Canada I might be able to help. If you're looking for trunking stuff you could email coconut Mike and get a Rostrata from him. I got a big one and several small ones last year.Also look on ebay even know they don't ship to Canada send them a friendly note asking if they're willing to ship you're willing to take the risk of the shipment being ceased. More times than not they'll ship it I got a beautiful Rostrata like that a couple years ago for about $40.

Jesse, check for the Sheridan nurseries. I used to buy nice and quite big glauca several years ago for 30$ each. I have no idea what was their origin... You might need the plants (seeds) originated from either Alberta or Dakota. I'm not sure about filamentosa but flaccida would be hardy enough in your climate but the hybrids between glauca x flaccida or filamentosa, or flaccida x filamentosa might be even tougher.
