Cheaper than cheap. FREE

Just cut apart an old Venetian blind.

That's my method! I use pencil though, since I find sharpie fades too quickly!

You can use paint markers/metal markers, or markers made for CD labeling as well. Pencil does last a while on blinds... I marked some up years ago as a kid and its still there..
