A 6-8 hour warm soak ( 90-100F ) to start with, ( with the small seeds no longer than 8 hours, I try to gauge the soak time on size and how permeable the endocarp is. something like dried out Bismarckia seed would get a 3 - 5 day soak )
This really seems to break dormancy on some seeds, perhaps this mimics the trip through the digestive tract of various birds/animals that eat palm fruit ? most avian internal temps range between 102F - 112F
Anyways, from that into sealed containers using Perlite as a germination media. One of these came out of the dri-bath which is at a constant 27C, and the other two came out of the converted aquarium incubator which usually runs between 90F - 100F. I leave the lights on continuously but uncover the top a bit at night. So far the best results have been with some temp. variations.
Thanks for the aquarium idea, that works out good
