Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

The Sequoia was 7' at the start of spring 2013 and finished @ 11' even in a drought year, again!

I did paint the house,I did not pick the colors although I did choose how it's accented.

Jim, the Sequoia is now on its own...guaranteed survival, congratulations.

Love the accents/colors on the house, well done.

Jim, you have a pretty harsh winter this year. Wish your plants to be survive anyway! It should be a great case for all of us freezing every winter in our places.... Take care!

I have been caught out a few times early in the season...mostly because the smaller palms cannot take the cold like the larger ones can.

This year I was much quicker to react and cover stuff although one night was 10F at the airport and 18F here, this did
singe all the Martianus leaves but last time I checked the spear was still opening.

Hi Jim

what was your low temps so far....-10F? These temps are good for testing that established Sequoiadendron. Let us know how she fairs. 8)

Hope you beefed up its protection Jim.
Why do palms always continue growing so late into Fall/Winter... :dontknow:
