Yucca nana
Anyone ever grown Yucca nana? I got one in the mail today plated it in my cacti garden. They are cute little yuccas and look kinda rugged.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

I've tried 2 here, both rotted out over the winter. It has the typical western-type Yucca moisture tolerance.

Aaron,
that is the best looking nana I have ever seen!!! What a nice fat trunk.
Y. nana does very poorly in my climate. It will slowly die over 3 to 4 years. I'm not sure why. It's not the cold......it must be our excess humidity since we are close to the ocean??

I have to dig up a few small suckers, I would gladly send you a few! I don't think you can kill these! My friend at the Denver BG has a big one there, looks almost like a small j-tree.TimMAz6 wrote:Aaron,

Looking awesome! This is the species I'm looking for but no luck here so far. Bought two pcs., but it turned out to be some gloriosa hybrids, despite what seller said.

You are right. Last year I got my "nana" seeds from http://www.koehres-kaktus.de/, but there are no this yucca species at there either. Perhaps the trustable resources will have them later this year.

Igor, can you recommend them? I see there are plenty of yucca species!

Thank you very much my dear friends! These days I'm transplanting all my yucca-agave seedlings from 4,5'' pots into large containers (styrofoam box for vaccines transportation). Gonna post the pics once finish this "project"....

Hi Bgodwin....
I have started growing yucca in Alberta Canada and like some else said they grow like a weed and are indestructible. So far one of mine has survived - 35 C for a prolonged period! No protection
