Johannesteijsmannia altifrons
This article sums it up,
http://www.pacsoa.org.au/palms/Johannes ... frons.html
Was able to get a couple germinated seeds, potted them up, and we'll see what happens.
Anyone else growing these that can offer some advice?

Probably good you only have two seeds.
This'll move any Licuala onto the back shelf!
Look forward to seeing progress.

That IS exciting, Steve!
You're buying acreage, I presume, for this baby to grow on

They need constant warmth and lots of water. A good, rich soil would also be beneficial. Good luck!

Jody,
Thanks for the encouragement and cultural info!
This is my third attempt with these, so I'm hoping to get one going

Fabulous. Just wanted to write that word. seriously, nice work, maybe in a few years you can take a trip to a tropical island and plant it (or give it to me, whatever you want).

Steve, nice work.
Beautiful leaf.
And now that my Licuala grandis is definitely toast, the Joey Palm heads my list for beauty.
