Bizzy just keeps pushing new fronds...

This Bizzy has pushed frond after frond ever since I got it this past spring.

That Bismarckia's colour takes my breath away.
Truly stunning. Does it stay mostly in shade?

Now I'll go down to the basement and look in my "Bizzy nobilis" bag again.
Maybe I should bring the seeds to the computer screen!

Good idea about pic timing.

Is your Bizzy then finished with Juvenile stage? (here comes puberty... )
I believe the end of Juvenile is marked by more rapid growth.

Humm ... in the ground you say! With leaves eventually 8' - 10' wide (more under ideal conditions) do you have any idea how you'll get it past one of the cold snaps like you just had? They are one of the nicest palms but I understand root disturbance is very critical when young.

All I can do is tie up the fronds & wrap it until it gets some real size to it.

Barrie there are a few in Downtown Charleston.

If memory serves me (that's another story) they are rated as a zone 9b palm, so very close to being completely hardy down your way. I imagine planted in a good micro-climate such as a city center, they'd be fine.
