Hello,
I'm trying to locate a few seeds for Sabal 'birmingham'.
If you're interested in a trade i have Trachycarpus fortunei, Yucca thompsoniana, Yucca baccata, seeds in exchange.
Thanks,
Paul

Scarce! ... and once found a cost attached to said seeds.

Cheers, Barrie.

Your better off purchasing a plant. They are much more hardy with age and they grow extremely slow. I just bought a 3 gallon this summer from Gary in New Bern, NC. He doesn't ship palms mail order. Plantdelights.com and amazinggardens.com have plants available. I would try http://chillypalmtree.com/pricescoldhardypalms.html first. You can get a nice size plant from there but I'm not sure if he ships to Canada.

Here is mine but it will be a long time before it produces seed:

Ya, I know they are tricky to come by. I managed to get my hands on 30 seeds last winter, but alas some birds decided that the seedlings should be thrown on the ground... And I lost all but 1!
I love growing my plants from seed, not just because it's cheaper, but because it's fun!
Thanks for the suggestions!
P
