Turtile, I'll take KNNN, OP Palm, Tropicman & BGreen.......
Guys, need your address PM me!
Oppalm well... He is going to have a forest of Butia... The first commercial butia wine producer in OK... 😆 😆 😆 :drunken: :drunken: :drunken: :laughing3: :laughing3: :laughing3:
Guilty as charged. Laaz was kind enough to send me a handful of seedlings. As soon as they start producing and I begin making wine - Laaz gets the first bottle and then I 'll share with everyone else. 😉 😉 😉 😉 All I have to do is figure out how to overwinter the butia.
Kent in Kansas
where it's cold in winter (always)
and hot in summer (usually)

OP, a friend of mine in Lake City sent me some Butia last year before Winter. I simply planted them in a mix of potting soil and Vermiculate. The ratio was about 1/3 potting soil to 3/4 Vermiculate. Then I simply put them back in the back of the basement with some supp. lighting, but not a lot, and they got along GREAT. Watered maybe every two and a half weeks.
Are the ones Laaz sent split leafed yet? I REALLY want a Butia of split leafed size 😥 😥 😥
Wes let me go out this weekend & see what I can come up with.
