Nice gardens good topic. I think the gardens that inspire me the most are the natural landscapes, "valley of fire", "craters of the moon", "snake river canyon" etc...:D

That 4th garden is amazing. I bet that guy has to work hard for winter protection though!

I see lots of trachys in Seattle, and they're amazing, but that Jubaea Chilensis looks very tropical! Do they need winter protection in an 8b climate? Maybe I should plant a few and wait 50 years to see...
As for me, one example that stands out is the Eden Project ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eden_Project). It contains an amazingly huge rainforest in it. I hope to visit there someday!

Yeah...nice Baltimore garden..he need to protect some of these palms like the Washingtonia and maybe the Sabal palmetto. He s living on the edge of the rustic zone for that palm.....nice pics.

Robocaesar. The basjoos in the 4th photo are huge . The photo was taken near my Grandma`s house in South Vancouver. They probably got fried in Dec. that year. I`m sure Jubea`s would need protection in an 8b being a smaller size for quite a few years until the trunk is large enough to sustain itself through some colder spells. The Jubea`s pictured you are refering to were planted at Joe Forte park near English bay Vancouver. They did not survive the winter 😡 . There just isn`t any larger specimens that the city will spend more money on to grow without protection. I would like a couple the size pictured to grow here with protection 8) Give some a try in Seattle! The Eden project is very cool.
