Usually, July here is hot and dry. This year we are getting a steady stream of air off the gulf. It is cloudy and humid and wet. We've had >8" of rain so far this month, with lows in the 70s oF and highs <90of. It feels tropical.
While picking insects off the upper fronds of palms (where the grasshoppers can escape the chickens) today I saw this little tree frog on my larger Butia. I snapped a photo with my cell phone. To me it shows how my garden looks and feels like the tropics right now.

That is tropical, Erik!
A sign that all's well, too.
Amazing how those little guys have such "big voices"...

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
Nice find Eric, they are neat little guys. Every time a few minutes before a thunderstorm gets here they start freaking out, they're like my storm early warning system! They're really noisy in the rain too, they must be happy 😆 😆 😆

Cute pic, thanks for sharing!
He is still there today. I like to think he is making a living eating bugs from the upper fronds. --Erik
Sadly, the jobless rate among Tree frogs is at an all time high 🙁

Ah! So cute.
They look great. Much bigger than the little guy here. --Erik
I'll need a ten foot ladder to get pictures of mine now, I should have taken pictures when they where low. They crawl right into the unfurling leaf so they can sit in the water. I'll do a scan tomorrow and see if I can find some on the lower nanas.

Bill, second floor window (or attic window) and ZOOM... 😆 😆 😆 😆
