Some early pictures of the gardens. I'll hopefully get time to finish them this weekend and get some Palms planted as well.

Front Yard with Musa, a yucca, Japanese Maple and some Canna's.

One of my rear beds with a "Red" Banana, 3 sago palms and Buddy.

Another...

Still lots of work to do including some mulch and some colour.

Hey Jeff, great job loading pics.

Nice place, lots more room in those beds ... where's the crater?

Nice healthy looking sagos...did you overwinter them (what was the lowest temp?) or are they newly planted?

Like Buddy!
He'll be in the shade of palm trees soon. 😀

Barb,

I picked up the Sago's back in March or Early April when they were on sale at a local Nursery. I put them in the ground in the middle of April. I'll probably end up digging them back up for the winter unless I build a greenhouse around them where they sit. They seem to be taking pretty well to there new area and are looking a little better from when I first picked them up.

I still have lots of room to plant. Last year I went for the less is more look, this year I'm going for the more is more look.

This was the before image of my front yard. The crater is where the Japanese Maple use to be.

Great plans you've made.

It'd be neat if you overwinter the sagos...can't remember if anyone on PN does Sagos in winter protection.
Or maybe put ONE indoors 😆 😆

You dug out that Japanese maple????? 😯
Ahem...

But that'll be a great spot for the big Trachy.

Jim,

We've had good weather here for almost 3 weeks, not as nice as our 30 degree days back in March when everyone thought summer was here to stay lol.

Barb, What about digging out the Japanese Maple? Just re-located it up front more. My aunt last night walking by thought it was new because she said it blended in to the background too much before.

Your garden looks nice. Bill has a couple large Sagos he protects. They seem pretty hardy. I also protected a small Sago and it appears OK.

Oh thank goodness...thought you dug it out because you didn't like it. 😳

No no no lol, moved it forward in the bed. It will now be in front of the Windmill and actually balances out the beds a little better with the Musa on the other corner.
