It appears I'll have a bumper crop of Sabal minor seeds this year. All of my Sabal minors are showing flower spikes. Here is some pics. 😀

Keep a close eye on them & harvest them as soon as they are ripe. If you wait too long the birds will have a field day & strip every last seed...

Steve, there should be plenty to go around. Laaz, yes I'll keep an eye out when they get ripe. I don't want the birds to get them all. 😆

Kent,

I suppose they are about 6years old. They are in part shade. Thanks, for the compliment. They pretty much take care of themselves. I'll be giving them some extra water now that they are getting ready flower.

Dean;

Those are beautiful Sabal minors.

I would love to be on your list for any spare seed that you have.

Allen

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

Allen,

When they are ready I'll post them. Consider yourself on the list.

Dean thanks for posting those super pics.
Have never seen this up close...such a long flower spike on palms that are relatively young.
Please take a new pic to show it slowly opening up.

Congrats.
Heck, if you can get past CC (canada customs) to ship to Edmonton, perhaps I could be on your list too.
What the heck am I saying 😕 😕 ha ha

Barb, I'll try to stay atuned to when there opening up. I might have to get the ladder out to take some pictures. Consider yourself on the seed list too. 😆

Dean,
Yes your pics are great.
I'm unlikely to witness my palms flower due to cold lousy winters with low light, and crappy spring weather the last few years.
So will enthusiastically follow your pics.

ps--I'll reimburse the postage, as before.
