In the summer we went to Florida Fairchild Botanical Garden. It was amazing.

Jubaeas are fabulous, always amazed at the sheer size of those trunks.
bananieru, that Copernicia is a beauty in the first pic.
I tried to get the slide show to work in your photo album, pictures wouldn't advance, so I've bookmarked it to try again.
Very nice. BILLMA was at Fairchild recently too. Hope he sees your pics.

Nice pictures, isn't Fairchild out of this world, it's amazing what can be grown in S. Fla. I'm heading back in a week or two, I'll check them out for you. I noticed a little more palm damage this year over last. Last year all the exotic BLE's where dropping leaves like crazy.

Bill, yes, Fairchild place is unreal. Enough palms, their image keeps me happy during the Canadian winter.

I had no idea kapok (Ceiba) grew there, but I guess not surprising. Definitely a neat tree.
There is one indoors in Tulsa (at the zoo) but it is threatening to bust the roof. Can you say, "emergent"? 😆

Thank you. Some of the more interesting. Remember, it was very hot and sunny. The light was different for every single shot, I was sweaty, kids were tired, wife was thirsty (or the other way, I forgot).... You get the picture 🙂
