Simply got tired of moving them in and out every day.
Planted the little Echeveria sp.
I'm taking a BIG CHANCE with cold nights...but planted the
Pachypodium lamerei and the Jasmine right beside the Trachy fortunei.
Birds have been trying to pull the Trachy's "brown stuff" off (what's that called?), for nesting material.
It's hilarious to watch them pull and pull! 😆
Off-topic...but JUST NOTICED THE GROWTH ON THE YUCCA !!! I let this guy dry out (planted in gravel) until he was almost wilting. I think it worked!

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
Looks good. I am not even thinking of planting anything yet.
I hope that the weather doesn't come back to bite you.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps
Me, too, Allen. I'll be rummaging at dusk, looking for buckets and blankets 😳
You folks had a nice stretch of warm weather a few days ago...
you had us beat by a couple of degrees.

Things are really looking good. I say just give in to the madness and go plant crazy!

OK will do 😀
By the way, macario, did I miss your pics of everything planted in the ground (after your friends helped you move them)?
Man, if I had big plants like that, I know I'd run out of friends! 😉

Barb looks great. How is that Trachy doing since you planted it?

Thanks for asking.
Seems to like it...but when cold weather threatens, I load blankets around it.
Hell, it's warmer at night than I am! 😕
How're your plants? Little chilly at night in the Okanagan these days!
I long for the "spring" of the old days!

Barb mine are doing fine. My lowest temp in the last 3 weeks has been - 2.5 c 27 f . Everything cold hardy I have growing has been out for 6 weeks and no blankets. With a cold rating of 0f -18c my Trachy has no problem. W. filifera, Sabals ,Med fans palms ect. slightly lees cold tolerant. laughs at the minor chill. 😆

You've got a lot more experience than I do...re knowing what your plants will take.
And you're just 35 miles south...and everything's been out for 6 weeks?
The difference I think is we have the Monashee Mountains influence (bl***y) cold for ages in the spring!
Glad your stuff is doing well.

It'll soon be time for more pics.

Everything is growing good now. 😀 Hopefully I can get some pics up before I go to Las Vegas. 🙂
