Josef, I dig the low angle shots, makes the palms all look bigger! Do you have any from normal standing height so we can get an idea of how large the palms are?
What was your low this winter?

Hi Paul
Low this winter -17.2 C.Palms protected.
Big trachy is about 350cm high.Jubaea I bought 7years back diam stamm 8cm.

Now is 30cm

Your Washingtonia came through winter with not a mark on it. Very beautiful!
And that Jubea...wow!

I'm so envious of your winter temperatures...we hit -27 C, a very long and cold winter this year.

Josef, how many fronds grew this year on your Trachy?
7? 8? or more?

Big trachy produce 10-11 full rollout leaves every year.This year only 10./chilly May and June, only 4 leaves/,
other 6 leaves in July till September/Nice and warm/When warm, perhaps one more in October.
My jubaea this year 7 new leaves !!!!I think Jubaea have not problem with cold /chilly/ summer/.

10 or 11 leaves a year is wonderful!!!! Well done!
I hope mine will perform so well soon.

I see more palms in pots in the background of that picture.
Are you planting them this Fall? or next Spring?
