Bill and Aaron I have two 15 gal.Brahea armata. They were purchased from Sunnyside nursery near Vancouver B.C. three years ago. I don`t know if I would risk planting one until I plant W. filifera`s and see if they survive. Aaron to bad about your palms in Arz.Are you going to give that Sabal minor any protection this winter?

I think I will give it a plastic tent but no heat. This one seems to take well to the cold. 😀

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

That one I saw sure in pic 23 is a beauty regardless! Maybe one day you can build a good heated house for it 😀

Bill I`m a bit conservative when I plant a palm in a zone 6b.The palm has to be at least 15 gal.The exceptions are my needle palms 5 gal. and my S. minor,S.louisiana.One of the two Brahea armata might go into my new palm garden. I will have to cut down the oak in the roundabout in my driveway and shredd the roots to make a palm entrance to my house.Messy tree! There is a dual electrical plug there so I should have enough power to heat through Dec. Jan. part Feb. My cold hardy potted palms are still outside. How are yours. Nov 13th?

John,

Thanks for the updated photos! Always look forward to seeing the collection. Glad to hear you're starting to start a trend-proliferating the valley with cool plants! Such a great place in Canada for the hardy palms and yuccas. 😀
