John,
I am always impressed with the shear number of palms that you have!

I forget, how do you protect your in ground palms?

John, even more beautiful than I remember "in person"...

hey, is that a Licuala you've acquired? (if not, what is the wide-leafed palm in a pot, leaves about 1 or 2 feet long?)
And is that a Fishtail on the porch?

Glad my musa is now in your capable hands.

Thanks for the updated pics.

Must not get to cool in the garage if you have Banana plants "growing" 😀

I guess you lift off the top of the enclosures when it's to warm and sunny
as in your picture?

Jim the garage stays around 12c 52f through the winter. The palm protection does come off the palms on mild winter days. I hope we all have lots of those this winter?

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

John

I have planted my last sabale minor palm this summer, and is the last palm I have in my yard. Hope it makes it through the winter. 🙂 I have given up on palms in my Idaho garden. There is just too many worry free palm yuccas out there. Torry and faxon yuccas are a sight to behold even when seen next to palms.

Of cource nothings better than a palm, but I am sad to say that all of my palms have died in Arizona. I tought they would because I was not there to water them, but why not try when I'm down there. 😉 Next year I will plant some more palms and cactus.
PS I am glad to say that it looks like my cactus are doing just fine without me. 😀

That Brahea armata in picture 23 is beautiful! Did you ever think of trying one in the ground there?

Thanks for the pictures.
