Wes I`ve been to the caribean side of Mexico a few times and I always find a way to go to Tulum and the Mayan ruins. The beach there is spectacular. Great you were able to get those seeds through. I had all my seeds confiscated in Jan. by the keystone customs people. 😯

How did they catch you and what did they do to you?

Tulum is awesome and yes the beach is amazing. I swam in it for about a half hour.

I have also been to the Coba riuns and they are spectacular.

Wes it took the customs Gal about 20 minutes just to look up palm seeds in "restricted items" she found in my luggage. She then said that I wasn`t allowed to take them with me. I was told not to try it again ,and let through. I think I`ll just find a better way of hiding my seeds next time LOL 😆

I wish Customs had been that diligent with alfalfa seed from Europe 50 years ago...then we wouldn't have Spotted and Diffuse Knapweed all over the bloody place.

They really overdo the power thingy, don't they?
Did they tell you the "penalty" for "doing it again"?
It's probably a stiffer sentence than bank robbers receive...

As though there'll suddenly be
UNWANTED palms springing up all over British Columbia's grasslands and roadsides.

Ps--wouldn't it be fun to find that dumpster that Customs throws all the "contraband" into? I'd be a dumpster diver for those seeds!.

Barb your hillarious! Got a good laugh from your last post. I don`t know what the penalty would be didn`t ask at the time. I bet half the plane was bring more stuff back than they declared. I still have lots of seed from previous trips so I didn`t mind to much. If you are interested I could send you some W. robusta seed I have lots of. Send me a PM if you want some.
