Are all these intended for your own use, or do you expect to have these go to good homes?

Cheers, Barrie.

Barrie I fully expect most of the larger Washy palms to go to great homes and businesses. Most have been spoken for with deposits next spring. The smaller 3 gal will be a couple of years in the making as will the 1 gal seedlings three or four years behind them and so on . I will keep a few as large specimens for myself. Next year I plan on growing a couple larger W.filiferas planted with protection.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Palmetto I will post photos of just the planted palms. Some are doing better than others.

John, there are going to be some very happy businesses and homeowners to receive those!
They've grown a lot since last year's pics.

Love the overhead shot of palms around the sundeck.

Super bananas and yuccas!!!! 😀

Your Washys certainly look better than these from PalmandCycadExchange.com (you'll cry)...

Thanks for the comments everyone. Barb those washy`s look like they are wild as the tall ones in the background. The smaller ones just need a little trimming is all . I do like the petticoat on the taller mature W. robusta. I would like to have mine 15 percent as big as those some day.

15% as big?
At that size, they would withstand anything an Okanagan winter can throw at them. 😀

I still can't get over how much your palms have grown this year.
And those musa...into the garage for winter or are you selling them?

Steve thanks for you comments. I really like seeing how your W. robusta has made it through your winters under your palm hut . Barb the ensete ventricosum is grown from seed two years ago. I am most proud of this plant as most people see this first when they visit our home. The leaves are huge , at least 4 to 5 ft long and a trunk 20". I will save this one for next year. I would never expect a pure W. filifera Truth or Consequences N.M. to survive our zone 6
b 7a? winter without some form of protection. In five years from now I will have some very large 7" ft. or more trunked pure W. filifera . I will try a couple smaller 2`ft of trunked ones next year under protection in a good situation of the yard.

Nice looking plants, John. They all look very happy. I like the layout of in ground stuff seen from the roof. Good job.

Happy growing.
