Very nice. The beach looks very inviting also.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps
what's the average low in Port Dover. Are those queen palms? they look a little thin on top.
Kent in Kansas
where it's cold in winter (always)
and hot in summer (usually)

Dover is very near me. I am a 6a. Dover may be 6b..maybe.
What do they do with these palms in the winter.
There is no way they would survive a zone 6 winter let alone a zone 8
Wes North Vancouver Zone 8b/9a
Keats Island BC Zone 8a
Palm Springs CA Zone 9b/10a
They are that new type of palm that can withstand zone 4. You mean you have not heard about them????
I'm joking. They put them in a greenhouse. There is a place here that will overwinter large palms for you.
I think I stumbled or was directed to their web-site once. For real ... a company that sells palms and will overwinter them for you. You can even visit them during the winter while in storage. I guess there's a gimic for everyones taste.
Cheers, Barrie.
It seems to work for some places around here. I am sure it's not cheap! If you want big palms that bad then there is always a way!
