Earlier this year on my way to work I spotted this guy getting a bath.

And this is what it looked like today.

Thanks,

Benjamin Green

The top picture is all soap suds from kids and the fountain.
This guy is dug up each winter and moved to a greenhouse.
It can be found in Overland Park, KS, at W 159 th and Grant

Thanks,

Benjamin Green

I thought it would be in KC. Probably from that one place (can't think of the name, but they were on the news) that sells them for a rediculous price.
I wanted a 2' trunk Fortunei, they gave me a quote of $275. After that phone call I went down to a local Nursery and bout a 2' Fortunei for $30.

I live in OP. There are a number of palm trees popping up around OP. A number of apartment complexes have the Wash Filifera and/or Wash Robusta in front. Also, a number of banks are using tropicals, including palms, in their entrance planting beds. I'll have to remember my camera as I drive around and take some pictures and post them. They are obviously dug up and stored inside in the winter. It is a nice change of pace to see tropicals and palms in town.

Kent in Kansas
where it's cold in winter (always)
and hot in summer (usually)
