I like the density of your plantings.
Did I see pomegranate (Punica) in there?

Everything looks great !

What is the Yucca that looks like Gloriosa?

I like the water feature/waterfall,nice job!

Has the yard gotten a little brown with all the heat you
guys have had?

Thanks guys...
@ Erik, I do not have a pomegranate, which picture do you mean?

@ HardyJim I do have some yuccas, some in pots and some in ground that gave beautiful flowers this spring. That pond is loaded with fish that multiply every year, and now a bullfrog too...So loud!

Hey Mike that was a great visit to your place.
Great photography...you have a "good eye". 😀

Great placement of plants, love the lights over the garden arch too.

Nice Strelitzia...mine is white, considerably younger than yours so I'm still waiting for bloom.

The bullfrog will drive your dogs crazy.
My dog sniffs from planter to planter trying to find the tiny little treefrog with the big voice.
😀 😀

Thanks for the link to your pics.

Mike,
I didn't see Punica on a second time through. Must have been not-quite half awake this morning. 😆
Anyway, a 2nd pass through the photos was well worth it. Great job! --Erik

Hey Mike,

What can I say? NJ = garden state, eh?
Extra lush, beautiful garden, amazingly green thanks to your watering...
The crape myrtle, is it the 'Hopi' variety? I have a 'Tonto' and three 'Red Spirits', all in buds, but no flower yet, good for you!!!
I guess you just don't feel like going to work....

Thanks a lot for having shared your pics with us!
Congrats,
Rob

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

The only thing I could think of is the bloom from one of my trumpet vines that can resemble a pomegranate bloom in the early stages???/ Glad you enjoyed the pics...Thanks for your comments.

Thanks Rob, yeah, watering like crazy, really dry and hot here for the past month. It is a hopi, brought it back from the dead. Stuck it first way back in my Intensive Care Unit for plants and trees behind the shed and after it overwintered it came back so I moved it to the front of the house, it is a great tree, and is now getting lareg enough for the bark to start splitting and shedding and showing off all sorts of lovely hues ....Glad you enjoyed the pics. I could spend all day in the garden...I try to do that in Summer, since I am a teacher so it makes it easy for about ten weeks..... 8)

Glad you enjoyed the pics Barb. Hey, it is pretty hot there right now???? How are your yuccas doing??? Any blooms yet? The dogs are crazy enough with the squirrels, chipmunks and opossums, ugh! I love to receive an opossum offering in the early morning all bloodied and fly-ridden t the foot of the back door!

Yup...hotter than a firecracker now. (wilt, wilt!)
Hot dry wind.

And with the heat comes another critter...saw a 3-foot long bull snake last night, fortunately they have no venom but they're pretty bad-tempered, so managed to "detour" the dog so she wouldn't find it.
Creepy buggers.
And saw a 1-foot long rubber boa last week, never saw one of those before.
Trade you for the opossum...
😆

Yuccas are finally starting.
