I love this Season 'cos I have a chance enjoying spring plants metamorphosis every day.
There were the tree peonies and Calicanthus floridus. Enjoy you too:

Nice. I don't care for 'normal' Peonies, but those shrub versions are too stunning to ignore!

So many more flowers than I have as of yet. They look good. 😀

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Great pictures, Igor, With regard to the last three pictures. We have the same tree in the back yard. It smells like raspberries, what is it???? I have cut it back three times but it keeps coming back from the ground. Happy Birthday again/ Туған күнің құтты болсын!

Mike, it's called Callycanthus floridus, a native shrub from the East and South East of USA.

Tim, I have more pictures. We have a long weekend so I have a chance working through over the garden, planting, re-planting, moving the stuff around, cleaning up the fish pond, focusing my camera lens, correcting the pics in the Photoshop and posting them at the PalmsNorth. Since the state holiday and my birthday - a lot of food and alcohol.... too. Still alive and optimistic!

So a few days ago bought two mature variegated Aralia elata plants and Acer palmatum dissectum viridis plant. It cost me around 500 USD - a nice birthday present to myself.

Landscape reconstruction with newly bought plants. View from the above:

Acer palmatum dessectum viridis:

Aralia elata variegata argentea

Aralia elata variegata

Yucca gloriosa:

More Japanese acer plants:

Chocolate vine (akepia) is growing well:

Many pics from my "woodland" spots:

Astilboides and Osmunda regalis fern:

Hostas:

My fish pond:

Dwarf irises:

And geranium plants:

Gunera is my proud:

Henryana vine is a cold tender in my place but it's still here:

And Calopanax small tree:

My dwarf pine trees coning:

Thanks for watching! Enjoy the spring colours!

A magnificent woodland pictorial, Igor.
The exact opposite of my hot dry deserty property.

And beautiful new purchases for your birthday! 😯 😀
Happy Birthday!

What a great view from the second floor!
Splendid.

Oh, Barb, I know what you mean but April and May are too rainy in my area. A max summer temp in my town is 43,2C. It's not bad, isn't it?

Holy toodles! 😯 😯

You've got the best of both worlds, then Igor, two months of lush landscape from rain, and then a heatwave to burn your socks off your feet. 😆 😆

Fabulous plants in great condition.
Your love of your property shows.

But Gunnera? Really? I love them, but wonder if they can tolerate your Summer heat. 😕

Hi Igor,

GREAT garden! You'll have to start charging admission to see it!!

That Calopanex is real cool! Is that the large tree which is like zone 4 hardy?
